Orlando Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium, in Soweto. The stadium is currently used mostly for football matches, as the home stadium of Orlando Pirates FC of the Premier Soccer League.

It was intended to be utilized, as a training field, for teams participating in the 2010 FIFA World Cup after it was completely rebuilt and reopened on 22 November 2008.

In addition to the stadium capacity of 40,000 people, there is an auditorium for 200 people, 120 hospitality suites, a gymnasium and a conference center

Orlando Stadium was the first soccer stadium in Soweto and played a major role in the sporting, social, and political life of residents for many years.

As a famous home of South African soccer, it was associated with a host of football greats including Kaiser Motaung, Jomo Sono, Patrick ‘Ace Ntsoelengoe, and Ephraim Shakes Mashaba. The stadium hosted international sporting events and major political rallies were held there both before and after 1994.
