The Newlands Stadium, currently referred to as DHL Newlands for sponsorship reasons, is located in Cape Town.

The stadium currently has a capacity of 51,900 but is not an all-seater venue. It is the oldest rugby stadium in South Africa and the second-oldest rugby stadium in the world.

Various sports teams currently use the stadium as their home base, including Stormers in Super Rugby and Western Province in the Currie Cup.

The DHL Western Province rugby team also uses the venue for home games. The city’s soccer clubs Ajax Cape Town, Santos and the dissolved club Vasco da Gama have in the past occasionally hosted matches at the Newlands Stadium.

The stadium is also the 3rd oldest stadium in world rugby and, with the tall stands in close proximity to the playing field, it is world renowned for its electric and intimidating atmosphere.
